Fiji - 07/2008
For our honeymoon, my wife and I went to the island of Taveuni, the 3rd largest in the Fiji archipelago. We relaxed, hiked, snorkeled, and rode horses, but the highlight of the trip was diving in the Rainbow Reef at the Great White Wall, covered in soft white coral, and surrounded by fish of every shape and color.

Morocco - 10/2007
After four years of going to the Nevada desert for Burning Man every summer, my love and I decided to trade the Black Rock for the Sahara. Morocco was amazing. It is both a buyers paradise and nightmare. Hospitality is a way of life. We spent a few days in Marrakech (crazy city, very much like BRC in some ways), followed by a few days in the Sahara desert (utterly magical), rounding up the trip at the coastal town of Essaouira (wonderfully relaxed and chill).

Costa Rica - 01/2007
My love and I decided to escape the New England winter, and went to Costa Rica. It was a land of kind people and poor roads. We saw monkeys, coati, birds, chickens, and iguanas. We rode horses, flew over the rainforest canopy, and lounged in hot springs. We saw more rainbows than we could count, and the most beautiful sunset.

Burning Man 2003
So I decided to go to Burning Man on really short notice. I had a complete blast. It was an experience that left me with some profound ideas about community and our place in relation to each other. If you can stand to be in the desert for a week, I really recommend going. It is a completely alien world, filled with awe and wonder.

My second burn was a much different experience than my first. I expect every burn is unique. The biggest differences were; I camped with a new camp this year (SublimiNation), I put out an art project (SoundScape), I camped in an RV instead of a tent, and I stayed for the whole week. It was a much mellower burn, and like any week, had good days and bad days, but it was all worth it. I saw many more wonderful things than are recorded here.

Burning Man 2005
My third year was a very mixed experience. It was a hard year in a lot of respects, and Burning Man often reflects those sorts of things. It is a catalyst, and it is an extreme environment that affects heart, mind, body, and spirit. Some highlights of the year were being a part of Automatic Subconscious, being a Greeter, grilled cheese sandwiches at the Black Rock Diner, watching Venus and Jupiter rise over the mountains every evening, and sharing the magic of the city with someone instead of experiencing it all alone.

This, my fourth year at Burning Man was the best ever. so far. Having gone through life's drastic changes last year, more at peace with myself, this year was entirely chill. and that was a wonderful thing. we relaxed, and yet we still saw and did so much. camped with FoodLab, and there were waffles and mushroom frittata. I took fewer pictures than I'd like. However, this year I came to realize I was living life rather than photographing it. I'm ok with that. However, I did manage a few that I think came out great. Enjoy.
